Eiger glass is specially tested for impact protection. Conventional, cheaper soda-lime glass breaks at an impact pressure of 100 to 125 N. Eiger glass has been proven to withstand an impact pressure of over 300 N (twice as strong).
All Eiger glass features an oleophobic coating which reduces the accumulation of fingerprints and makes the glass feel pleasant.
The product is compatible with most cases, ensuring good surface protection without adhesion problems.
To determine scratch resistance, Eiger glass is tested using the Mohs mineral hardness scale from 1 to 10.
This is a more accurate method for determining scratch resistance than the more commonly used 9H pencil test.
Eiger Mountain Glass Clear is made from 60% recycled cullet. This is cullet generated during the manufacturing process.
