Eiger glass is specially tested for impact protection. Conventional, cheaper soda-lime glass breaks at an impact pressure of 100 to 125 N. Eiger glass has been proven to withstand an impact pressure of over 300 N (twice as strong).
All Eiger glass features an oleophobic coating, which reduces fingerprint accumulation and ensures the glass feels pleasant to the touch.
The product is suitable for most cases and ensures good surface protection without adhesion issues.
To determine scratch resistance, Eiger glass is tested on the Mohs mineral hardness scale from 1 to 10.
This is a more accurate method of determining scratch resistance than the more commonly used 9H pencil test.
Eiger Mountain Glass Clear is made from 38% recycled cullet. This is cullet generated during the manufacturing process.
All packaging is made from paper, cardboard and/or other recyclable or biodegradable components.
