Eiger glass is specifically tested for impact protection. Conventional, cheaper soda-lime glass breaks at an impact pressure of 100-125N. Eiger glass withstands impact pressure of over 500N (four times stronger).
All Eiger glass features an oleophobic coating, which helps reduce fingerprint build-up and makes the glass pleasant to touch.
The product is case-friendly and ensures good surface protection without adhesion issues.
To determine scratch resistance, Eiger glass is tested against the Mohs mineral hardness scale from 1-10.
This is a more accurate method of determining scratch resistance than the more commonly used 9H pencil test.
